"In the beginning, our speciality was the design of tools for the transformation of plastics, principally destined for the plastic moulding industry", explains Hervé Guerry, the manager of Créastuce (research consultancy located in Saint-Martin-du-Fresne).

Directly affected by changes in the sector in recent years, the research consultancy decided to change direction and concentrate on design. "The idea is to conduct two activities in parallel: the design of our own products, and simultaneously continuing to meet the demands of our customers - in the car industry, packaging, toys."

Among the products developed and patented by Créastuce is a new adjustable ladder, the sale and marketing of which is currently being negotiated with a major do-it-yourself chain. Créastuce has decided to place its easy to store and transport product on a rapidly developing market: DIY/decoration aimed directly at female customers.

"Besides its technical qualities, thanks to its alveolar structure in synthetic resin it is not only a utilitarian tool but also an extremely attractive product!" enthuses its designer, who has plenty more clever ideas in the pipeline. Furthermore, financial partners are ready and willing to give Créastuce the helping hand it needs in order to take its projects into a whole new dimension.
