Every year, no less than 3,000 tons of cheese leaves the production lines of the Guilloteau dairy, based in Belley. The production is highly controlled and monitored, and takes place in listed buildings subject to declaration.
"In common with many SMEs, we do not possess a structure entirely devoted to environmental concerns", explains Yves Careil, technical director. These two initiatives have opened the door to a voluntary move in the direction of environmental management, a policy reflected in the systematic recuperation of cardboard packaging for recycling. "It is likely that we will now set our sights on obtaining the environmental certification ISO 14001", announced Yves Careil.
