Created in Germany in 1974, REMIS is the European leader in glass doors and opening tops for refrigerated cabinets. Today, the company employs 440 people on two sites in Germany as well as in America with REMIS AMERICA, LLC, a joint venture set up with Dehco.

In France, the decision to choose the Ain for setting up business took place quite naturally, due to all the know-how available in the department in this field of activity.  In fact, the Ain exports over 10% of the country's production in aeraulics, the Rhone-Alpes region being the leading region in France in this field, possessing 25% of all the French companies and 35% of national sales. The initial function of the French subsidiary is to handle installation and after-sales service for the company's products from the Dagneux site. For setting up its installations, REMIS was assisted by the Ain Economic Mission and ERAI, especially for recruiting personnel.
